With EXIM (Export-Import Bank of the U.S.) losing its charter, now is a great time to bone up on alternative import-export trade finance solutions which naturally includes international factoring. If you are prospecting in the manufacturing and distribution sector, this can provide a great excuse to contact you exporter prospects.

Why did they lose their charter?

Mostly because we continue to elect the feeble minded in Washington. EXIM will likely be re-instated at some future date. For a country the size of the U.S. not to have an Export-Import bank is a little ridiculous.
